I specialize in curly and textured hair with an approach that looks beyond curl pattern alone.
Texture, density, porosity, strand size, shrinkage, previous damage, lifestyle, and styling habits all influence the way hair looks, moves, and responds to products and techniques.
Every appointment starts with the hair in front of me, not somebody else's routine from the internet.
A Personalized Approach
No two heads of curls are exactly alike.
I consider the natural movement of the hair, how it behaves day to day, the client's goals, and how much styling they realistically want to do at home.
From the haircut and shape to product selection and styling technique, each decision is made with the individual client in mind.
Because a beautiful result in the salon is great.
A haircut you can actually live with is better.
I offer several cutting approaches for curly and textured hair, depending on your curls and the shape you want to achieve.
My most popular option includes a wash and a personalized cut, with each curl individually carved and sliced to bring out its best shape. I recommend this particular cut only if you wear your hair curly at least 90% of the time.
I finish with a step-by-step styling demonstration and diffuser styling, so you can see how to care for and style your curls at home.
Education Comes With the Appointment
I believe clients should know more about their hair when they leave than when they arrived.
That might mean learning why certain areas behave differently, how much product to use, which styling techniques work best, or how to make wash day a little less dramatic.
